The Goddess and the Goddess House

The aim of The Goddess House is to provide a centre, even if it comes from humble beginnings, that solely focuses on the honouring and worshipping of the Goddess, the Divine Feminine.

So what and who do we mean by the Divine Feminine, the Goddess?
Even today, it is a term which is not all the familiar. It is also a term that is often misinterpreted. The following is what the term "Goddess" means to us at The Goddess House. I invite you to share what the Goddess means to you.

We at The Goddess House recognise that there is a Goddess, a Divine Feminine, She who is ancient and primeval. She who is the first of ALL the Deities, the patroness of the Stone Age hunt and of the first sowers and seeds. It was She who gave birth without the need of man. It was under Her guidance that herds were tamed, and that
healing herbs were first discovered. She is seem in the first works of art that humankind created, found on the cave walls of France and Spain. Images of Her were the first ever discovered.

The Goddess was there when humankind took its first steps, when the standing stones were raised, and the pyramids were built. She was and still is the inspiration for many songs and poetry.

She is the bridge on which we can cross the chasms within ourselves which were created by potentials.
She is the ship on which we can sail the waters of the Deep Self, exploring the uncharted seas within.
She is the door through which we are invited to pass into the future.
She is the cauldron in which we, who have been wrenched apart, simmer in until we become whole again.
She is the vaginal passage which enables us all to be reborn.
